Job Description

Highly focused Test Operations Leader with extensive experience managing Engineering teams and subcontractors in Malaysia. Proven ability to merge technical excellence with financial stewardship, consistently implementing continuous improvement initiatives to achieve cost reduction goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of offshore Test Engineers and subcontractors, defining team goals, assessing training needs, and driving career development.
  • Operational Excellence & Metrics: Oversee end-to-end test operations (including NPI, CIP, and test program debugging) to optimize yield, minimize cycle times, and meet strict budget targets.
  • Strategic Financial Stewardship: Identify and execute continuous improvement projects (CIP) and process optimizations to secure annual cost savings team goal.
  • Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination: Align with supply chain (SCM), hardware engineering (TENG/PENG), and external vendors to forecast capacity, analyze test requirements, and manage hardware procurement.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Establish structured communication channels with colleagues and suppliers, generating regular performance reports and conducting risk or problem analyses for management.

Qualifications

  • Time Management & Prioritization: Exceptional organization skills to categorize tasks by critical importance, manage tight schedules, and optimize resource allocation
  • Interpersonal & Conflict Resolution: Strong communication capabilities to align cross-functional teams, resolve workplace or supplier friction smoothly, and foster a positive collaborative culture.
  • Advanced Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects from inception to completion, including comprehensive risk assessment and cross-functional coordination.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience
  • Communication: Good communication and written skills in the English language

Good to have

  • Programming Flexibility: Basic programming knowledge of Teradyne Flex, Advantest V93K, Teradyne J750, ASL1K, V50, and all other platforms (knowledge of one or two is a must, while knowing all listed platforms is a plus).
