Job Description
- Lead and manage the financial reporting and GL accounting team, including day-to-day operations, training, and performance management.
- Oversee the closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS .
- Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording and classification of all financial transactions.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure data integrity.
- Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., sales, operations, tax) to gather and consolidate financial information.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends or areas for improvement.
- Stay current with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IFRS, SEC regulations).
- Prepare and support the external audit process.
- Research and provide documentation on technical accounting matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as a Financial Reporting or GL Accounting Manager.
- Big 4 public accounting firm experience a strong plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proven experience in leading and managing an accounting team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems, SAP is a strong plus).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Additional Information
The expected annual pay range for this position is $124,000 - $186,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities and commission pay. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
