Job Description

Associate Applications Engineering position for Space and High Reliability Products Group. Primary responsibilities will include supporting new product developments of our MOSFET product line for the space market. Secondary responsibility will be on new product developments on our power products. The engineer will work under the guidance and mentoring of a senior Application Engineer. Programming experience with Python, Java, and/or C languages as well as knowledge of Verilog coding with FPGAs desired. Knowledge of using and troubleshooting PSpice models.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Work with design, test, and product engineering teams to learn, support, and bring new products to market.
  • Once products release, participate in conference calls and onsite meetings if necessary to help solve customer issues with existing and new products.
  • Maintain a database of solved customer issues.
  • New product evaluation, validation, and characterization (hands-on work in the lab)
  • Write technical documentation (e.g. data sheet, application notes, and design guidelines)
  • Contribute to the definition of innovative and differentiated radiation hardened products.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and test engineering teams in design and implementation of product evaluation boards.
  • Contribute to the development of reference designs using radiation hardened products.
  • Training of field applications engineers (FAEs) as well as customer’s engineers


 

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a minimum Bachelors' Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Candidate should be self-motivated and conscientious.
  • Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidate must have good presentation skills.
  • Candidate should have a good knowledge of analog design and lab troubleshooting skills.


Required Skills:

  • Comfortable with basic lab equipment (power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators).
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
  • Previous course work should include Analog Mixed signal and associated labs.
  • Class work and some practical experience modeling circuits (SPICE and or IBIS) is desired but not mandatory.
  • Writing microprocessor firmware and application software (Python or Java) a plus. Microcontroller embedded programming and Verilog FPGA programming also a plus.
