About the Role:
As a Platform Engineer, you’ll join our platform team within the Data & AI department and play a key role in shaping our next-generation AI Platform. You will have the opportunity to build the platform foundations, enabling teams to develop, deploy, govern, monitor, and scale AI systems safely and reliably. This is a role where you’ll make real-world impact, working with Kubernetes, Databricks, cloud-native technologies, and modern AI platform patterns while supporting our mission of delivering reliable and efficient systems. 

About your tasks: 

• Design, build and maintain platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with tools such as Terraform. 
• Develop memory services, vector storage patterns, and semantic search capabilities. 
• Design secure access patterns for agents to governed enterprise data, including Databricks, and integrate guardrails for allowed tools and data sources. 
• Operate and evolve a Kubernetes-based platform for the Data & AI department, enabling deployment, management, and scaling of services following GitOps practices. 
• Build observability capabilities covering agent execution, performance, reliability, cost signals, and operational health. 
• Collaborate closely with other engineering, DevOps/MLOps, SRE, security, and product teams to define platform standards and improve developer self-service. 
• Participate in architecture discussions, propose improvements, and drive adoption of platform engineering best practices. 
• Stay current with emerging technologies in the cloud-native, AI platform, and agentic AI ecosystem to continuously improve the platform. 

About you: 

• Extensive practical experience operating Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure in production or at scale. 
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform, as well as automation, CI/CD, and GitOps delivery. 
• Experience building reusable platform capabilities for engineering teams. 
• Experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or similar technologies. 
• Experience with RAG, vector search, embeddings, and knowledge retrieval systems. 
• Experience integrating with governed data or ML platforms; Databricks experience is a strong plus. 
• Proficient in Python, Shell, and/or Go for scripting and automating infrastructure and workflows. 
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership. 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-moving environment. 
• Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus but not required.
