Job Description

Red Wing Shoe Company is looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our Information Technology team.  The Senior Security Engineer will be a hands-on technical professional that will leverage their understanding of infrastructure, application, and cloud security technologies to assess, implement, configure, and tune security solutions and controls that protect Red Wing information systems and data.

The Senior Security Engineer will work with and across Red Wing technology and business teams to ensure critical security controls are implemented properly and regularly reviewed. Additionally, this role will lead vulnerability management efforts to ensure all systems are continuously scanned for vulnerabilities and remediation efforts are implemented in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or relevant field with a minimum of 7 years of cybersecurity experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Relevant security certifications, such as GSEC, CASP+, SSCP, GCIH, OSCP, etc are a plus. This role offers a fully-remote opportunity. 

Candidates must have experience working in infrastructure (network and server) and previous security roles (engineer or analyst); Windows operating system, Active Directory and networking background; Administering or defending Azure cloud environments; Implementing and configuring security controls and solutions; Incident investigation efforts and reports. 

Candidates must display skill or knowledge in understanding of attack techniques and corresponding defensive measures; Understanding of the most critical technical security controls, associated tools and solutions to implement them, and their appropriate deployment configurations: Multiple security technologies including but not limited to: SIEM, NGFW, Proxy, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR, A/V, WAF, Orchestration Solutions; Ability to be a strong team player to promote a working environment that encourages and increases collaboration, clarity, and innovation.
