As a Sports Data & AI Scientist, you will use data, analytics and AI to support decision-making across our global sports investments, including football and cycling. You will benchmark performance across the network, conduct deep-dive analyses and develop predictive models, data products and conversational AI that deliver actionable insights to coaches, performance staff and leadership.
Job Description
Global Sports Intelligence
Monitor and benchmark athlete and team performance across our sports investments using training, competition and physiological data.
Identify performance trends, outliers and best practices across the network, with targeted deep dives into individual clubs, teams and athletes.
Sports Analytics & AI
Analyze performance, training and readiness data and develop predictive models to support decisions around readiness, training response and performance development.
Translate complex analysis into actionable insights for coaches, performance staff and leadership.
Data Products & Conversational AI
Build dashboards and automated analytics for continuous performance monitoring and network benchmarking.
Develop conversational AI that enables sports practitioners to query sports data, investigate trends and access insights through natural language.
Cross-Sport Innovation
Identify and transfer performance insights, methods and best practices across sports.
Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Data Science, Statistics, Sports Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Strong expertise in data science, statistics, machine learning, Python and SQL.
Experience with performance analysis, predictive modelling, data products and AI applications.
Strong domain knowledge in sports.
Experience with athlete, training, competition, physiological and/or wearable data.
Ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in English, German is a plus
Additional Information
Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position (EUR 2.968). However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
