Wings for Life USA funds the most promising spinal cord injury research in the United States, with a clear mission to discover a biological cure for spinal cord injuries. The Social Outreach team at Red Bull Media House North America, Inc. primarily provides operational support to Wings for Life USA, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

The Specialist, Social Outreach (Defensive Line) will provide essential project management and strategic analysis for Wings for Life USA. This role requires leadership in the development and implementation of high-impact fundraising programs across departments, ensuring appropriate alignment of deliverables and effective allocation of resources. The Specialist will build relationships across regions to understand and uphold the organization’s culture in the United States. The position requires both strategic planning and hands-on project execution.

Job Description

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Provide project management support for key fundraising initiatives in the United States, from initial business planning through on-site execution.

Lead and coordinate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and strategic planning meetings to ensure effective communication, planning, and alignment across the team.

Collaborate with project leaders in Philanthropy Programs, Events & Partnerships, and Marketing/Communications to track project milestones, targets, and resource requirements.

Recommend and implement enhancements to fundraising programs to achieve organizational goals, increase return on investment, and deliver a premium donor experience.

Remain current on relevant trends, development best practices, and emerging technologies to strengthen outreach and community engagement.

STRATEGIC PLANNING & ANALYSIS

Take ownership of the donor database (Salesforce) to ensure data accuracy, coordinate reporting, and promote effective use across departments and teams.

Manage tools that support the annual business planning process to increase focus, automation, accountability, and empowerment, while ensuring alignment across departments.

Improve the staff onboarding process for various platforms by maintaining and updating the Staff Resource Guide.

Develop retention plans for volunteers and supporters (including athletes, creators, employees, etc.) and identify tools to increase engagement and recognize their contributions.

Engage with and help secure corporate and affiliated partnerships, both within the organization and with external partners.

Monitor charity rating websites to ensure the organization is represented as favorably as possible.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a development and/or project management role.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Professional demeanor and appearance.

Strong analytical and business acumen, demonstrated through successful project delivery.

Quick learner with the ability to rapidly acquire new skills and integrate different approaches.

Skilled at facilitating meetings and managing communications.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Salesforce.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Fluent in English.

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $68,000 - 102,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
