The IT Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering a portfolio of infrastructure initiatives that support the IT Infrastructure department. This role operates within the IT Infrastructure PMO and ensures that projects are delivered with structure, clarity, and measurable outcomes in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
The position requires a strong balance of Agile and Waterfall delivery skills, enabling effective execution of both iterative and plan-driven projects. The Project Manager will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to drive alignment, manage risks, and maintain consistent delivery standards across all initiatives. This role is also instrumental in advancing modern delivery practices, including Agile frameworks, sprint-based execution, and emerging AI-enabled project management methods.
This IT Project Manager will sit in our Santa Monica, CA office, 4 days per week.
Job Description
PROJECT DELIVERY & EXECUTION
Lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure initiatives.
Develop and manage detailed project plans using both Agile (Scrum, sprints) and Waterfall methodologies.
Oversee day-to-day execution, including planning, tracking, issue management, and status reporting.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT & COMMUNICATION
Support Agile delivery practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, and daily stand-up meetings.
Partner with teams to implement and refine Agile methodologies within infrastructure initiatives.
Promote iterative delivery, continuous improvement, and team accountability.
Balance Agile execution with structured planning for complex initiatives.
RISK MANAGEMENT & PROBLEM SOLVING
Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies early in the project lifecycle.
Lead mitigation planning in collaboration with stakeholders.
Proactively address challenges that may affect delivery timelines or outcomes.
Ensure transparency and promptly escalate issues when necessary.
PMO STANDARDS & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Contribute to the development and improvement of PMO standards, templates, and processes.
Support initiatives that enhance IT ways of working, including process optimization and automation.
Maintain accurate project documentation and reports using PMO tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Help ensure consistency and quality across the entire project portfolio.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within infrastructure or enterprise IT environments.
Extensive experience with both Agile methodologies (such as Scrum and sprint-based delivery) and traditional Waterfall approaches.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects involving IT, Security, and business stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using project management tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
A self-starter with a proactive and collaborative working style.
Comfortable working in ambiguous environments, with the ability to operate independently and introduce structure where it does not yet exist.
A creative thinker who seeks innovative ways to improve processes, drive results, and make work more engaging for the team.
Additional Information
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $112,000 - 168,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
