We are looking for an Engagement Producer to join us at the Daily Express. Managing our day-to-day presence across social platforms like Facebook, TikTok, Threads, and WhatsApp, you’ll turn high-level strategy into slick execution that grows our audience and creates meaningful engagement. You are a social native who knows exactly how to stop the scroll - whether you are creating high-impact content for Facebook, curating compelling newsletters or finding fresh off-platform routes to make our journalism fly.
This role is home & hub based, linked to our London Hub (typically 3 days in hub per week). We are therefore open to candidates based in and around London.

What will the role involve?
You will manage and scale our presence across major platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, Threads, Instagram, and WhatsApp. By employing platform-specific tactics and tailoring content for every channel, you will ensure our storytelling remains dynamic and fresh while driving meaningful reach and building long-term audience habits.
A core focus of this role is designing and delivering engagement initiatives that transform passive readers into active, native participants. This extends to our email strategy, where you will craft high-impact newsletters designed to compel readers to engage deeply with our content and brand.
Using a sharp analytical mindset, you will continuously refine headlines, imagery, and posting schedules to maximize the impact of every piece of content. You will work closely within the broader editorial team, providing agile cover for Audience Editors and ensuring a consistent, high-quality output across the board.
Who are we looking for?
You are a seasoned social media expert with a demonstrated ability to grow engagement across platforms, with a particular specialty in Facebook. As a natural digital storyteller, you possess an instinctive grasp of what makes a story resonate online, ensuring that high-quality journalism is optimized to "travel" and reach the widest possible audience.
Beyond your creative instincts, you are fluent in digital publishing and highly confident navigating a CMS to manage content effectively. You are a clear communicator and a proactive team player who thrives in fast-paced environments, remaining agile and ready to adapt whenever new opportunities or breaking news cycles arise.
