Job Description

We are currently seeking a director to oversee the Custom Software Solutions (“CSS”) portfolio. Our CSS portfolio works directly with our Professional Services and Sales team(s) to build customer specific custom solutions utilizing a variety of products: Autodesk, Revit, Vault, Clarity, and the various industry solutions. The goals and objectives of the CSS group is to provide custom solutions that expand and extend core capabilities to meet specific business and technical solution needs of our customers. 

The CSS Director will manage all aspects of the group including (but not limited to): projects, definitions, custom scope, escalations, sales support, team management, and overall health of the CSS group as it relates to the broader Professional Services portfolio. 

Responsibilities 

  • Execute to the overall Professional Services strategies for the CSS Group 

  • Manage the projects and development team. 

  • Define the strategy for the CSS group. 

  • Provide mentorship and leadership for designing the planning process. 

  • Accurately estimate level-of-effort and timelines 

  • Produce required technical documentation and reports. 

  • Meet all established metrics for CSS delivery and sales (quality, revenue, margin) 

  • Collaborate with the VP of Services to define new products that can be developed from CSS projects and designs. 

Qualifications

  • Highly motivated, self-starter, who works well in a small and distributed environment. Ability to work effectively across multiple functions, departments, cultures, geographies, and time zones. 

  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills. 

  • Strong organizational and problem skills with a keen ability to manage multiple priorities.  

  • Experience working within a small team of developers with source control tools and formalized development methodology. 

  • 10+ years of experience managing, developing, and delivering packaged software custom solutions.  

  • 8+ years of experience with C#, .NET Framework and web-based architecture 

  • 5+ years of experience developing with API’ provided by 3rd party software. 

  • Energy, enthusiasm, edge, and a willingness to be open to new ideas.

  • Enthusiastic with a passion for excellence 

  • Professional, honest, and ethical 

  • The ideal candidate will also have experience in one or more Autodesk APIs 

Travel 

  • Up to 30% 

Additional Information

Compensation 

  • Salary Range (salary and bonus): $165,000 to $195,000
