Nambour Selangor Private Hospital is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Food Services Assistant to join our team on a casual basis.

This hands-on role involves sandwich preparation, catering support and assisting with meal services to help deliver a positive dining experience for patients, visitors and staff. Early morning starts are required, so flexibility and reliability are essential.

Barista experience is highly desirable, providing an opportunity to assist with coffee preparation and beverage service as needed.

About You

You are a friendly and organised team player who takes pride in food preparation, presentation and customer service. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities and understand the importance of food safety and hygiene in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• 5:00am starts and early finish – Sandwich Hand / Café Service Role
• Preparation of sandwiches, wraps, toasties, salads for hospital patients and Café
• Maintain Café cleanliness
• Customer service and coffee making for our small internal Cafe
• Casual position offering a Flexible roster to suit your lifestyle
• Be able to multitask and maintain standards
• Maintaining food hygiene, a clean working area and safety practices
• Assist with delivery of Food & beverages to the hospital patients when required
• Cleaning in accordance with the FSP.

Skills and Experience

• Sandwich making skills
• Food preparation experience
• Barista experience also highly regarded
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
• Caring for people is your calling
• You enjoy a laugh and being part of a team.
• Barista experience will be highly regarded.

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate of $27.30–$30.13 + superannuation, plus 23% casual loading, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of applicable penalties and allowances (QLD Support Services Enterprise Agreement: Support Services - Level 1, pay point 1-5)
