Project Manager - Roster Operating Model

  • Full-time

Job Description

Ramsay Health Care is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Workforce Optimisation Program, supporting the implementation of a future-focused rostering operating model across our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a significant transformation program, helping shape how workforce processes, rostering practices and supporting systems are implemented consistently and sustainably across Ramsay. Working closely with stakeholders across Operations, People, Finance, Technology, Change and Training, you will coordinate key project workstreams, drive implementation readiness and support the development of standardised frameworks, processes and tools that enable successful adoption across our sites. If you enjoy bringing people together, managing complex projects and translating strategy into practical outcomes, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a large-scale workforce transformation. Please note, this is an 18-month fixed-term contract, with the flexibility to be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in coordinating project delivery, supporting implementation and ensuring the foundations are in place for successful adoption across Ramsay.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies and deliverables across assigned workstreams.
  • Support scoping, solution development, pilot implementation and preparation for future enterprise rollout.
  • Monitor risks, issues and dependencies, escalate challenges and prepare clear project updates and governance materials.
  • Work collaboratively with operational, clinical, People, Finance, Technology, Change and Training teams to keep delivery on track.
  • Create standardised frameworks, templates, toolkits and process documentation to support consistent implementation.
  • Coordinate workshops, track progress, capture lessons learned and identify opportunities to strengthen future rollout activities.

What You’ll Need

You’ll be a proactive and organised project professional who can bring structure to complex initiatives, build strong stakeholder relationships and keep multiple workstreams moving towards shared outcomes.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven project management experience delivering UKG Pro WFM implementations, ideally across Time & Attendance, rostering and workforce management.
  • Strong understanding of rostering operating models and advanced scheduling, including the business processes, functional requirements and workforce optimisation opportunities that underpin an effective WFM solution.
  • Experience managing Workday integrations with UKG Pro WFM, including employee data flows, organisational structures, supervisory hierarchies, work rules, pay rules and related mapping dependencies.
  • Ability to bridge business and technical teams, translating operational requirements into functional solutions and managing integration, testing, cutover and deployment activities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and delivery governance skills, with the ability to manage risks, dependencies, resources and implementation milestones across complex, multi-site environments.

It would also be advantageous to have:

  • Experience in healthcare, hospital operations, workforce management or rostering.
  • Experience as a UKG Pro WFM Functional Consultant transitioning into a Project Manager role, bringing hands-on implementation, configuration and solution design expertise alongside project delivery capabilities.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or certification in project management, business or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting pilots, proofs of concept, implementation waves or enterprise rollout planning.
  • Familiarity with agile, hybrid or waterfall project delivery methodologies.

Why Join Ramsay?

  • Be part of a significant workforce optimisation and transformation program.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across a large and complex organisation.
  • Help shape consistent, scalable and sustainable workforce practices.
  • Access opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • Contribute to an organisation committed to its people, patients and communities.
