About The Role

Are you passionate about protecting healthcare technology and improving patient safety? We are looking for a Biomedical Security Risk Analyst to provide specialist cybersecurity risk support to our Medical Device Security team. This full-time role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks associated with clinical systems and IoMT devices, ensuring the security and integrity of critical healthcare technologies. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen cyber resilience across the medical device landscape and support the delivery of safe, secure, and innovative patient care.

This role assists in evaluating, documenting, and communicating security risks, supporting mitigation strategies, and helping stakeholders understand cybersecurity measures. The analyst collaborates with IT experts, biomedical engineering teams, hospital property managers and medical devices manufacturers to enhance the security posture of medical devices across the organisation, contributing to business continuity and patient safety by minimising cybersecurity threats. 

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring the following: 

• ​​Qualification: Degree in Biomedical Engineering, clinical services or equivalent qualifications and experience. 
• ​Understanding of clinical and healthcare environment 
• ​1–3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, biomedical/clinical engineering, or healthcare technology risk management. 
• ​Ability to plan and coordinate workload effectively. 
• ​Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 
• ​Familiarity with the security aspects of biomedical/medical IoT devices and their integration in clinical settings. 
• ​Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, vulnerability management platforms 
• ​Basic knowledge of vulnerability scanners. 
• ​Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• ​Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. 
• ​Strong customer service orientation and commitment to excellence. 
• ​Ability to complete tasks within designated timeframes. 
• ​Ability to maintain effective working relationships with Biomedical Engineering, Procurement, Clinical Governance, Risk Management, and Legal stakeholders.​
