Finance Operational Excellence Manager

  • Full-time

Job Description

This is an exciting new opportunity to join Ramsay Health Care’s Finance team in a role focused on improving how Finance operates across the organisation. As the Finance Operational Excellence Manager, you’ll help simplify, standardise and strengthen Finance processes across our corporate and operational teams. Working across a complex, multi-site healthcare environment, you’ll identify opportunities to reduce complexity and manual effort, strengthen governance and controls, and create more efficient and consistent ways of working. Partnering with Finance, Operations, Technology and project teams, you’ll turn these opportunities into practical improvements that deliver lasting impact.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in shaping how Finance works across Ramsay - understanding how things operate today, identifying opportunities to do things better and working with our teams to make those improvements happen.

You’ll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact across Finance by:

  • Review and improve Finance processes, identifying inefficiencies, risks and opportunities to simplify and standardise.
  • Design and implement practical future-state processes, workflows and ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline and reduce manual effort across Finance.
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance, approvals, reconciliations and reporting.
  • Partner with Technology and Finance systems teams on ERP, workflow, reporting and automation initiatives.
  • Support process and system testing, implementation and post-implementation stabilisation.
  • Develop clear process documentation, guidance and training to support consistent adoption.
  • Work across Finance, Operations and project teams to deliver sustainable improvements.
  • Provide Finance leaders with clear insights on progress, risks, opportunities and recommendations.
  • Help build a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across Finance.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll be a practical and commercially minded Finance professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and finding better ways of working. You’ll be comfortable working in the detail while understanding the broader business impact of the changes you’re helping deliver.

You will bring:

  • Experience improving, standardising or managing Finance processes within a large or complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end Finance operations, including reporting, month-end, reconciliations, controls and governance.
  • Experience in areas such as finance operating models, shared services, ERP, procure-to-pay, reporting or process improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex issues into practical solutions.
  • The ability to create clear process documentation, procedures and controls.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across Finance, Operations, Technology and project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and bring people with you through change.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and governance.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to shape and improve Finance operations across a large and complex organisation.
  • A collaborative and supportive Finance environment.
  • Exposure to enterprise-wide transformation, systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including a hybrid working environment.
  • Opportunities to grow your career and build your capability within Ramsay Health Care.
  • The opportunity to contribute to an organisation with a strong purpose and meaningful impact on the communities we serve.
