Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and creative Communications Coordinator to join our team on a full-time, maximum-term contract until 11/06/2027.
About the role:
The role identifies, develops and pitches compelling media stories, coordinates media and PR activity and approvals, builds productive relationships with media, and creates engaging content for Joondalup Health Campus’ social media and other communications channels.
Working under the direction of the Communications Manager and as part of Ramsay’s broader national communications team, the Communications Coordinator also provides support across reactive media, issues management, internal communications, digital content and major events.
The role works collaboratively with stakeholders across Joondalup Health Campus and Ramsay to ensure communications activity is proactive, coordinated, well-executed and aligned with hospital and organisational priorities.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will have Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, public relations or related field along with the following:
- Demonstrated experience in media relations, preferably in healthcare.
- Proven ability to identify, develop, pitch and deliver compelling media stories.
- Strong writing, editing and content creation skills.
- Strong understanding of communications platforms.
- Experience managing social media content and engagement.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Confident communicator able to build constructive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
