Job Description
Permanent Part Time Opportunity - 18-21 Hours per week
We seek highly motivated individuals passionate about patient centred care and who thrive working within a Multidisciplinary Team. You will have well developed clinical and communication skills with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is keen to develop their skills in a variety of clinical settings and thrive within the quick pace of a hospital environment. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in the following clinical areas: General Medical, Oncology, Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic surgical and neurosurgical wards
The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
- Minimum one (1) year of occupational therapy experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to effectively assess, plan and implement individualised occupational therapy treatment programs.
- Ability to effectively manage and balance a busy caseload and administrative responsibilities within a hospital setting.
- Demonstrate problem solving and clinical reasoning skills, considering broader implications and longer-term impacts.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
- Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice

Additional Information
