Job Description
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our friendly Northwest Private Hospital. You will be joining our busy Theatre Department, providing assistance for patients in transit to and from our Theatre Department to various departments within the hospital. Permanent part-time and casual positions available.
As a Theatre Orderly, your duties include, but are not limited to, patient transfers, operating theatre preparation, patient positioning in theatre, response to emergencies, general cleaning, infectious cleans and assisting with daily operations in the Theatre Department and hospital. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a hospital orderly/wardsperson (highly desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently
- Availability for a range of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster (morning/afternoon/night shifts)
- A strong willingness to learn and develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures
- Motivated and positive with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong understanding of manual handling and infection control procedures

Additional Information
