Job Description
This is a part time Clinical Nurse role, 23 hours per fortnight, within a small and busy team. The role includes implementing and maintaining the infection prevention and control programs to ensure safety and quality across the whole of facility.
The Clinical Nurse acts as a role model and a resource for both clinical and non-clinical departments providing evidence-based support in all areas related to the prevention and management of risk associated with infection control.
About You:
This would be a great opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse in Infection Prevention and Control to join our dedicated and friendly team, this a part time position providing work hours flexibility within the hours of 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
The IPC team members are involved in and responsible for patient management, surveillance, education, staff health, procedure development and audit facility wide ensuring compliance with relevant standards, guidelines and policies.
Candidates require:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Qualification in Infection Control practices and/or previous experience in infection prevention activities
- Three (3) years post-graduate experience
- Nurse Immuniser Certificate / qualifications (preferable)
- Hand Hygiene Auditor Educator / Auditor Certificate (preferable)
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- High level of verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

Additional Information
