Endoscopy Admissions Clerk
Full time Opportunity Monday to Friday must be able to start from 630am
About the Role
- Our customer focused administration team are responsible for ensuring the seamless patient health journey.
- This opportunity will see you responsible for key duties including patient scheduling, pre-admission and admission of patients in our Ramsay Surgical Centre Day unit.
- As a first point of contact for our doctors, patients and their families you will strive to deliver an exceptional customer service experience for all.
Key responsibilities of this job include:
- Welcoming patients to the facility
- Admitting patient into the system and taking payments
- Preparation of patient folders
- Responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to the Endoscopy Nurse Unit Manager
- Discharging of patients
- Data Entry of patient’s details
- Hospital/ medical administrative experience is highly desirable
- Scheduling and health fund checking experience highly desirable
- Be highly committed to providing excellent customer service outcomes for all patients, visitors and doctors
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
- Proven track record of agility & flexible in previous roles to deliver upon competing priorities
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
About You
You will enjoy working in a high performing team and where no two days are the same. You will display an unwavering commitment to delivering customer service excellence each and every time and understand how to leave our customers with a professional and positive impression of our site.
In addition, you will demonstrate:
- Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy.
- Previous experience in theatre bookings or surgical medical administration
- Proven ability to work in a customer service focused environment
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and written
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicting priorities
- Certificate in Medical Terminology desirable
- Experience in hospital mainframe systems desirable
