Job Description
HR Assistant and Credentialling Officer
We're looking for a detail oriented and organised HR Assistant and Credentialling Officer to join our team at John Flynn Hospital. In this dual function role, you will provide essential support to our Human Resources department while managing professional credentialing and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in supporting our HR operations and ensuring that all credentialing processes meet organizational and regulatory standards.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all HR documentation
- Support the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, screening applications, and scheduling interviews
- Assist with employee onboarding activities, including orientation coordination and documentation preparation
- Verify and track professional credentials, licenses, and certifications for employees
- Maintain credentialing files and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
- Process and manage credential renewal notifications and follow-up procedures
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and credentialing status
- Prepare and organize HR reports and documentation for management review
- Coordinate with external credentialing bodies and regulatory agencies as needed
- Support HR initiatives and special projects as assigned
- Ensure all HR and credentialing records are organized, secure, and easily accessible
You will have:
- Proven experience in HR administration or a similar administrative role
- Experience with credentialing, compliance, or professional license verification
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Proficiency with HR software systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of HR compliance standards and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to support employees effectively
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with healthcare credentialing processes (preferred)
- Experience with credential management systems (preferred)
