Your new role
As our new Project Director – Offshore Wind Transmission, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the transmission system package of offshore wind farms. You will lead the package through feasibility, FEED, design, execution and construction.
You will be part of our international Power Systems organisation and work across a broad range of projects connected to the green transition. This includes complex assignments within areas such as electrification, offshore wind, data centres and large-scale energy infrastructure.
Ramboll continues to invest in the global Power Systems market, with more than 300 specialists working on Power Systems projects globally and a strong track record across Northern Europe, Central Europe and North America.
Your role will bring together the electrical, mechanical and civil packages that make up the transmission system. You will be developing clients (leading developers, investors, etc.) and the business area as a whole, including industry partnerships.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead the transmission system package across each project phase.
- Integrate the electrical, mechanical and civil packages.
- Oversee electrical system studies and grid integration.
- Lead the work covering onshore and offshore substations and high-voltage cables.
- Oversee cable landfall and protection systems.
- Leadership of the cross functional offshore transmission area, across projects and clients. It should also include innovation and industry engagement (on new solutions, software, AI, etc)
About you
- A Master's degree or equivalent background in electrical engineering, power systems or another relevant engineering discipline.
- Strong technical experience within Power Systems, gained within consultancy, utilities, energy, infrastructure or another relevant environment.
- Experience delivering complex technical projects and the ability to operate as a senior technical expert, mechnical lead or project manager.
- Leadership experience and the ability to develop, motivate and support technical specialists.
- Strong client and stakeholder skills combined with excellent written and spoken English.
