Your new role
As our new Analyst you will have the opportunity to work directly with EU institutions and stakeholders to drive public policy change, while developing your expertise and consulting skills.

You will be part of Ramboll Management Consulting in Belgium, a dynamic and growing organisation with strong professional drive and a collaborative spirit. Based in Brussels, our multidisciplinary and multilingual team works at the forefront of international sustainability and resilience efforts, primarily supporting EU institutions and other public sector actors in accelerating the transition towards a greener, more resilient, just and inclusive Europe. Our projects combine strategy and policy advice with deep technical expertise, and you will work closely with colleagues across Ramboll, drawing on a global pool of expertise throughout Europe and worldwide. The working language of the team is English.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Working on proposals and projects contributing to EU policy making, such as evaluations, impact assessments, policy studies, comparative studies and benchmarking, cost and benefit analyses, feasibility studies, stakeholder consultation
  • Conducting desk research, interviews, surveys, qualitative and quantitative analysis and data processing
  • Supporting the drafting of reports and presentations for our clients
  • Undertaking logistical and administrative tasks related to tender and project lifecycle

About you

These include:

  • A master’s degree (completed or in the process of doing so) in economics, political sciences, environmental sciences, geography or urban studies, sustainability or a related discipline
  • Keen interest or experience in one or more of the following areas: climate, energy, transport, environment, just transition, adaptation and resilience, competitiveness and industry
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and drafting skills
  • Expertise in advanced techniques for analysis of qualitative or quantitative data, including modelling, is seen as an advantage
  • Confidence and comfort using AI tools to support research, analysis, drafting and productivity.
  • Proven ability to present data and communicate findings in a clear and compelling well, tailored to the intended audience
  • Capacity to approach complex problems in a structured way
  • Confidence and comfort using AI tools to support research, analysis, drafting and productivity
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with fluency in at least one additional EU language preferred; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an asset.

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include having an independent, pro-active personality, an interdisciplinary mindset, good communication skills, a strong team spirit, and a genuine interest and commitment towards sustainability topics. You should also be organised, pay attention to detail, be able to communicate complex issues in a simple way both in writing and verbally, and be able to handle multiple priorities and a varied workload.
