Global Data Regulation Business Partner (Denmark)
- Full-time
Job Description
Are you an expert who lives and breathes data regulation?
Are you an organised and friendly person?
Are you motivated by communicating complex topics in an understandable, constructive, and approachable way to a wide variety of stakeholders?
If this sounds like you, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Group Business Integrity, Data, and Information Security function as our new Global Data Regulatory Business Partner, and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.
Your new role
As a new member of the Global Data Regulation Business Partner team, you will join us at the forefront of where legal theory meets business need. Alongside the rest of your team and reporting to the Senior Data Regulation Manager, you will be a key contributor to Rambøll’s continued compliance with data regulation: whether that regulation pertains to data privacy/protection, AI, or cyber security (NIS2). In practice, this means providing support to business units in our countries of operation across the entire organisation. You will have a holistic view of how the business functions and provide best practice guidance for the specific context of a request. You will support the functioning of the overall Global Data Regulation Programme and be able to lean on your team to together tackle questions at the practical forefront of these laws.
Your work will span a wide variety of data regulation tasks: project and vendor assessments, contracting reviews (in certain circumstances), data subject requests, data breach investigations, ad- hoc questions, and many more. Given the variety in our regulatory scope, it is important that you are open to learning about new laws and ways of working, if you have not already worked with them. Your contribution is valued, and we are always seeking the best solution to a question.
Throughout all of this, you communicate with positive confidence, a sense of humour, and adhere to Ramboll’s global guidelines.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Data Regulatory support to business units and geographies:
- Assisting Business Units in meeting client requirements through assessments, implementation, and risk identification related to Privacy, AI, and NIS2.
- Collaborating effectively with stakeholders whilst adhering to Ramboll’s global standards, templates, and guidelines.
- Occasionally (in instances of higher complexity) participate in the review of data processing agreements.
Implementation of Global Data Regulation Programme
- Supporting the implementation, maintenance, and compliance activities of the Global Data Regulation Programme: updating processing records, reviewing vendors/systems/projects, and addressing data regulation concerns, breaches, and requests in collaboration with your team.
Reporting
- Collaborate with the team and Senior Global Data Regulation Manager to define annual priorities.
- Maintain records for documenting data regulation concerns, data breaches, and data subject requests.
Monitoring and Audit Plan
- Participate in the annual monitoring and audit plan, verifying data compliance across projects, processes, systems, and suppliers.
- Analyse findings to identify areas of improvement and subsequent implementation measures.
About you
- A master’s degree in law, or another degree with suitable experience. Certifications such as CIPP/E/AIGP (or similar) are well regarded.
- At least 4+ years practical experience supporting data privacy activities within an international organisation. Experience with AI governance and NIS2 implementation is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Methodical, thorough, and keep a clear mind in a busy and dynamic environment.
- Professional proficiency in English.
What we can offer you
- Competitive base salary and benefits package.
- Ongoing investment in your development.
- Leaders you can count on, guided by our Leadership Principles
- The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company
