Your new role
As our new HV Technical Scope Manager you will be part of our global Power Systems team that has over 300 employees, working at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions. Our local Power System team has strong growth focus is one out of four global service lines within Energy present in Norway: Solutions for Industry, Wind and Energy from Waste, Bioenergy and Carbon Capture.
As a department within a large global multidisciplinary consulting firm, we greatly benefit from the extensive interdisciplinary network that Rambøll offers
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Leading multidisciplinary project teams, including both local and global experts, to deliver high-quality HV design and engineering solutions
- Acting as a key client interface—ensuring clear scope understanding, safeguarding client interests, and building long-term partnerships
- Overseeing tendering activities, contract negotiations, and stakeholder management
- Coordinating with other business areas (e.g., buildings, transport, environment, water, management consulting) to ensure integrated, cost-effective, and reliable solutions
- Managing technical and commercial aspects of projects in a dynamic environment, ensuring alignment with schedules and budgets
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment across borders
- Supporting site and field activities, including follow-up and quality assurance
About you
- Master’s or PhD degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Extensive experience in HV/EHV substation or overhead line design, specification, and project execution
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to collaborate across countries and disciplines
- Strong understanding of electrical transmission system design, SCADA, protection, HV cables, and interfaces to other systems
- Experience in client-facing roles, with a track record of building trust and delivering value
- Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
- Project management certification (e.g., PMI) is an advantage, but not required
