As our new CAD Designer, you will be part of our global Offshore Wind Engineering department. You will join a team of highly talented and engaged engineers delivering the full suite of services required to develop an offshore windfarm including the design for offshore wind turbine support structures and foundations. You will take on responsibility for supporting the design deliveries applying an analytical approach and structural understanding to create innovative solutions. This role requires a proven track record working with a team to prepare 3D models of steel structures and associated drawings required to enable fabrication and construction of the structures.

Job Description
Your Responsibilities
As part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities in international projects of varied complexity and scale, such as:
- Prepare project-specific detailed and complex 3D models and 2D drawings, representing large steel structures such as monopile or jacket foundations
- 3D modelling using SolidWorks (E.g., primary, secondary and tertiary steel structures e.g. monopile, jacket, decks, girders, boat landing, I-tubes, J-tubes, anodes, cages, piles, mud mats, lift points etc.) including self-check and liaison with approving engineer.
- Establishment of 2D drawings including self-check and liaison with approving engineer.
- Checking of drawings / documents according to QA standards & procedures.
- Feasibility studies and preparing sketches for drafting.
- Prepare manufacturing plans and section overviews for individual components such as profiles and weld details, as well as complete structural assemblies, and close collaboration with the design engineers
- Ensure models and drawings are prepared in accordance with the required standards and procedures to ensure high quality final drawings
- Support the project teams in bid invitations by implementing conceptual designs and generating various project-specific design drawings, such as sketches, 2D/3D drawings, collision design in 3D and similar
- Further develop and maintain internal CAD standards and manuals, as well as develop optimised ways of building 3D models and exporting 2D drawings
- Closely collaborate with other Ramboll units worldwide, ensuring streamlined and optimised working and quality-assurance procedures
- Take part in internal development activities to continuously improve and optimise our design

- 6+ years' experience in CAD industry. Structural steel background with relevant 3D modelling experience
- A degree / Diploma in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant
- Successfully completed training as a draftsman, design engineer, technical draftsman or CAD specialist
- Experience in Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering.
- Theoretical knowledge with good practical understanding.
- Highly proficient in 3D CAD design, preferably SolidWorks,
- Exposure to AutoCAD, Inventor or comparable software packages is added advantages.
- Should be well conversant with design standard requirements, such as Euro and DNV codes, drafting standards
- Keen interest or prior experience in architectural / structural steel design and / or fabrication or other complex structures / components
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, especially technical vocabulary for drawing preparation
- High integrity and team spirit, proactively engaging with others and offering support when required
- Effectively prioritize and carry out assignment, also under time constraints
- Excellent communication skills and proactive, analytical approach to assignments
- Experience in usage of MS office tools (Excel/Word/Power Point) is preferable
- Able to perform tasks independently and have the willingness to go for an extra mile
