Your new role

As our new Consultant you will be part of our biogas and waste-to-X team in Copenhagen (Ørestad office) with technical experts and project managers. You will participate feasibility studies, due diligences, design and implementation of large complex biogas projects as well as in gasification, pyrolysis and fermentation projects.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Design Engineer specializing in Offshore Jackets to join our team in Chennai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of offshore jacket structures for oil and gas platforms.

  • Develop and review structural designs for offshore jacket structures
  • Perform static and dynamic analyses of jacket structures using industry-standard software
  • Conduct fatigue and fracture mechanics analyses to ensure structural integrity
  • Create and review technical drawings and specifications
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with other systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant offshore engineering codes and standards
  • Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and constructability
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise to clients
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in offshore structural engineering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in offshore structural design, specifically with jacket structures
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software such as SACS and STAAD
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • In-depth knowledge of offshore engineering standards and codes
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of structural integrity and fatigue analysis
  • Experience in the offshore oil and gas industry
  • Familiarity with marine structures and their unique design requirements
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to offshore sites or client locations
