Job Description
Review contract documents and identify requirements and scope of work for project execution
• Feasibility studies, FEED, detail design and procurement support, construction, testing & commissioning.
• Must have a sound technical knowledge on Mechanical equipment – Static and Package equipment. Knowledge of rotating equipment will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with international codes, standards, and industry guidelines such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, NACE, DEP, EN, etc.
• Knowledge of preparation of data sheets, technical specifications, technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations of various equipment, post order vendor data review and coordination with vendors.
• Should have good knowledge of material handling studies.
• Should be familiar and experience in offshore projects – Oil & Gas and / or Substations.
• Handle one or more Projects with minimum support from REN-EEC as part of Global Engineering.
• Execute work in compliance with the project requirements and the Company’s quality system.
• Responsible and Accountable for quality of work.
• Equipment Selection, Preparation / Checking of Sizing / Calculations.
• Preparation / Checking of Datasheets and specifications for all the static and Package Equipment.
• Preparation / Checking of RFQ and Purchase Requisition of all the Mechanical Equipment.
• Preparation of Technical Queries and Technical Bid Evaluation.
• Vendor Drawings and Documentation Review.
• Checking of Detailed Fabrication Drawings for Static Equipment and Package items.
• Mechanical Handling studies – offshore platforms
• Estimating and preparation of Mechanical Deliverables / Work package documentation.
• Preparation of specifications and Datasheets for Piping components like Valves, specialty items (Optional).
• Guide Draughts men / Designers if fabrication drawings are prepared.
• Checking of drawings/ documents with QA standards & procedures.
• Checking of IDC documents from other disciplines.
• Coordination with other Disciplines / Service area team members.
• Ensures efficient utilization of software in the team.
• Optimize the engineering and design process in terms of manhours, schedule and quality.
• Participating in meetings with client.
• Technical Issue Resolution.
• Any other activities assigned by Lead or HOD.
• Close Interaction with other disciplines / groups.
• Support in Proposals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Mechanical or equivalent degree from recognized university
- 12 to 15 years of experience in total out of which 10+ years in Oil & Gas experience and 3 to 5 years’ experience in offshore platforms.
- Well familiar with international codes and standards, materials, specifications, calculations and datasheets for static and package equipment.
- Familiar with Piping Material specifications, drawings and deliverables is an added advantage.
- Have knowledge of Pressure Vessel Design, API-Tanks design, package equipment, Mechanical Handling equipment, etc. Knowledge on design of Floating roof tanks will be an added advantage.
- Hands on knowledge with PV Elite and tank calculation software.
- Knowledge of 3D Model review software like Navis.
- Experience in Mechanical handling studies.
- Experience in Offshore Sub-Stations will be an added advantage.
- Good English Skills, both written and oral.
