Job Description
The role of Associate Test Analyst is important to us.
This represents a fantastic opportunity for anyone in the early stages of their IT career.
Although you will have learnt plenty during your degree or IT qualification studies, we'll then provide the work environment, mentorship and training to help you build a rewarding in software testing and development.
As part of our dedicated test team, you will support software development activities within our hiring Fuel Solutions business. Much of your work will be in support of Velocity, which is our main customer-facing software platform.
The role is based from our head office site in Crewe, Cheshire. It's a vibrant and modern working environment, complete with gym, café, barista, break out rooms, and more.
In person collaboration is important to us. To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to work from the Crewe office for a minimum 3 days per week.

What you'll be doing…
- Supporting with the delivery of IT projects by completing designated test activities/tasks
- Analyse complex information and write concise, high-quality test cases.
- Provide accurate estimates to complete test activities.
- Maintain and execute manual test scripts and regression packs.
- Record and track all bugs in JIRA, and manage through to resolution.
- Provide regular status updates and reports on testing progress and outcomes.
What we're looking for...
You’ll be passionate about growing a career in software development.
Training will be provided through your 1st and 2nd year, but some of the things we’d like you to bring include:
- A computer science (or similar) degree, or equivalent IT qualifications
- Good listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Good team working skills whilst being able to work independently under supervision
- Good computer literacy skills with demonstrable IT related education
- Good analytical and organisational skills
- A demonstrable interest in software development
- Awareness of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile Methodologies is desirable
- Awareness of the Testing discipline (ISTQB Foundation Certification desirable)
