Job Description
About the role
The Senior Finance Officer position provides leadership support across the transactional finance function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts and compliance with statutory and organisational requirements. The role acts as a trusted point of contact for stakeholders, mentors team members, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processes, including:
- End‑to‑end transactional accounting operations across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Credit Cards and Accounts Racing
- Contributing to system enhancements, automation initiatives and process improvements
Qualifications
About You
You are a detail‑oriented finance professional with strong transactional accounting experience and the confidence to support and guide others. You bring a proactive mindset, enjoy improving the way things are done, and communicate clearly with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders. This role requires:
- Possession of, or substantial progress towards, a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Sound proficiency in business systems, with the ability to identify and resolve issues, understand system interactions, and support accurate and compliant processing.
