Job Description

About the Role 

Salary Offer: $71,000 - $82,000 per annum + Superannuation 

This role is responsible for the development and coordination of partnership activities with the purpose of raising the profile of the OTTWA program and initiatives to encourage increased participation of retired racehorses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, process and manage various sponsorship types including clinic, event and interstate competitors.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Herd Heroes & OTTWA Community Fund initiatives
  • Develop and implement new sponsorship initiatives in alignment with RWWA’s Equine Welfare Strategy
  • Liaise with Contractors and assist with the development of the Education Centre.
  • Administrate and fulfill sponsorship and partnership agreements including the management of invoices and coordinating the supply of merchandise.
  • Represent OTTWA at select events and participate in prize giving presentations.
  • Liaise with external partners and internal stakeholders to leverage media opportunities.
  • Produce monthly reports with the Marketing Team Lead on KPIs as required.

Qualifications

About You

  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in the equestrian community and off the track horses.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and professional customer service skills
  • Demonstrated success working in a team and collaborating with other departments.
  • Highly organised and able to meet competing deadlines.
  • Exceptional ability in presenting to a variety of audiences
  • Experience creating and managing contracts and agreements.
  • Experience in managing sponsorships
  • Demonstrated experience working within a budget.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office competency  
  • An understanding of various equestrian disciplines

Desirable:

  • Experience in the animal welfare environment.
  • Involvement in the running of equestrian events as a club member and/or experience competing in events.
  • Personal experience with owning or caring for off the track horses.
