Job Description

The Plant President provides leadership in the development and execution of plans and strategies for continually improving people, process, technology and culture. The Plant President is responsible for monitoring employee development, equipment performance and utilization, safety practices and other key business indicators; and, working with the site leadership team and business Executives to build and execute on action plans to improve and achieve strategic plans, budgets and other corporate goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the plant to improved the sales pipeline, safety, quality, productivity and reduction of waste on a consistent and continual basis in each and every process.
  • P&L responsibility for assigned locations, including the preparation and management of capital and operational budgets.
  • Work to improve the performance of employees through consistent and continual leadership in education and training programs.
  • Establish and maintain a viable succession plan for all critical human resources.
  • Provide guidance and direction to department managers regarding the continual improvement of operations for which they have ownership.
  • Lead and manage the local plant Sales team in both strategy and daily, cadenced lead/prospect/client tactical insights, to ensure an effective and viable local sales pipeline.
  • Work with company Sales Representatives from all channels to maintain and acquire new customers for the organization.
  • Review and report on manufacturing activities, performances and results. Initiate team action to identify and remove problems with schedules, excessive costs, materials or other factors affecting quality, safety, service or productivity levels inconsistent with plant continual improvement efforts.
  • Maintain open communication with plant employees and Corporate Staff to improve safety, quality and productivity.
  • Insure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, EEO, and other federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
  • Provide reports and feedback of plant performance to Corporate Staff as required.
  • Make recommendations regarding hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, training and merit increases of Plant Personnel. Motivate staff in support of department objectives and timely and effective schedules to ensure production goals.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continual process improvement efforts in order to assure that all customer expectations (internal and external) are exceeded.
  • Perform other related duties and business related as required.

Disclosure Statement:

The national pay range for this role is $129,900 to $265,100 annually. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Graphic Arts or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of diversified management experience within the printing industry or similar manufacturing industry, with proven success in leading operations teams
  • Experience leading sales teams highly desired
  • Continuous Improvement/Lean skills/experience highly preferred
  • Ability to lead a diverse team of both sales and operations group
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate with internal and external teams
  • Ability to lead and influence change
  • Ability to lead through empathy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong desire to apply continuous improvement throughout the plant
