Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations / Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, transportation management, inventory control, and transit insurance claims. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in ERP systems (QAD), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office tools, ensuring operational excellence and seamless supply chain execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations: Manage daily warehouse activities including inbound/outbound logistics, storage optimization, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Transportation Management: Oversee fleet operations, route planning, vendor coordination, and timely delivery performance.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and implement min-max inventory controls.
  • Transit Insurance Claims: Handle documentation, claim filing, and coordination with insurers for damaged or lost goods.
  • ERP & WMS: Utilize QAD ERP and WMS platforms for order processing, tracking, and reporting.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare dashboards, MIS reports, and performance metrics for management review.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor warehouse/logistics staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation, and inventory management.
  • Experience in transit insurance claim handling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and presentations.
  • Hands-on expertise in WMS and QAD ERP systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, vendor management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver measurable efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations.
  • MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in logistics and warehouse management.
