The Tender/Projects Administrator plays a critical role in supporting our National Key Account Managers and Lead Administrator to deliver high‑quality tender responses and maintain the performance of our national contract portfolio. This role ensures accuracy, commercial discipline and a seamless customer experience across all contract activity.

Job Description

  • Interpret tender documentation (RFQs, RFTs, BOMs) and prepare accurate, competitive pricing offers.

  • Coordinate supplier quotations and build strong supplier support networks to ensure timely, commercially aligned responses.

  • Analyse supplier offers and convert data into structured, customer‑ready Rexel proposals.

  • Support the preparation of tender submissions, pricing schedules and supporting documentation.

  • Maintain contract records including pricing, branch specials, EDI data, SKU creation and contract additions.

  • Conduct contract maintenance activities such as price reviews, cost updates, data cleansing and identifying value‑add or cost‑saving opportunities.

  • Work closely with NKAMs to highlight Rexel’s differentiators and strengthen customer value propositions.

  • Collaborate with the Pricing team to marginalise tenders and identify mutual benefit opportunities.

  • Ensure disciplined documentation and adherence to Rexel’s commercial governance standards.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers and customers to support contract execution.

Qualifications

  • Strong data accuracy and confident use of Excel and Outlook.

  • Knowledge of electrical wholesale or electrical products (lighting, cable, industrial, etc.) — highly regarded.

  • Experience in electrical or trade sales — advantageous.

  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and product requirements.

  • Strong supplier relationship and negotiation capability.

  • Excellent time management, commercial awareness and a collaborative working style.
