Job Description
What You will Do:
- Provide implementation services for new systems and internal administration systems in liaison with vendors.
- Support POS-related applications and resolve issues.
- Upgrade application systems as required.
- Ensure high-quality, efficient system implementation services and deployment to system users.
- Coordinate with Help Desk and Systems Support for resolving problems requiring system integration team intervention.
- Coordinate with Data Centre controllers to implement IT procedures for new systems or system enhancements.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to deliver projects and solutions.
- Collaborate with product vendors to analyze change requests, review system design, and ensure compliance with technology architecture standards.
- Provide support for system and performance management, application security vulnerability management, and control, as well as software release management.
- Plan and commission production system implementation.
- Represent IT during technical discussions inside and outside the organization.
- Assist management in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and procuring the latest products and technology to enhance service quality and availability.
- Ensure that disaster recovery considerations are addressed in all new system implementations.
- Ensure that operational risk and information security considerations, particularly ISO27001 standards, are addressed in all new system implementations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Partner with key stakeholders to analyse business processes and customer needs.
- Analyse the impact of customizations when applying patches and bug fixes.
- Research new releases/updates to optimize business processes.
- Perform fit/gap analysis and assist functional owners in developing functional specifications.
- Work with functional owners to create business workflows and identify solutions to meet needs.
- Collaborate with technical developers to provide production support, create reports, queries, and workflows.
- Coordinate technical resources to troubleshoot issues and support functional testing cycles, defect tracking, and resolutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation on requirements, functional specifications, testing procedures, and configurations.
- Monitor ongoing operations and perform activities to assist with performance tuning and troubleshooting of application issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving system issues.
- Work with business teams to understand business needs and document business requirements.
- Conduct analysis and design sessions, providing solution documentation.
- Support deployment to the production environment.
- Analyse and create process models to portray workflows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed software.
- Create context flow diagrams, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, business process flow diagrams, mock-ups, and workflows.
- Define technical architecture and create data mapping documents.
- Gather functional and non-functional requirements through requirement elicitation meetings.
- Perform root cause analysis, identify bottlenecks in processes, and recommend solutions.
- Participate in cross-functional process re-engineering sessions and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
What you will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a system analyst or in a related role, with a proven track record of successfully analysing and implementing complex systems.
- Serve as the ERP subject matter expert with detailed system functionality knowledge.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to actively listen, identify problems or needs, and translate them into requirements that can be turned into solutions.
