As the Senior Media Data Specialist, you will take ownership of maintaining and enhancing our digital media reporting ecosystem. You will work closely with the Advertising Technology and Data team, Media teams, Marketing and Data Services to ensure our reporting solutions are accurate, reliable, user-friendly and fit for purpose.
A key focus of this six-month role will be the ongoing management and improvement of our Tableau dashboards, which report performance across paid search, paid social, programmatic video and display channels. You will also support the data tables and pipelines that move media data from advertising platforms through Supermetrics and Amazon S3 into Tableau.
You will investigate reporting discrepancies across the full data journey—from the source advertising platform through to the final dashboard—identify root causes and coordinate practical resolutions with technical and business stakeholders.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Maintain, monitor and enhance Tableau dashboards covering all digital media channel.
- Manage dashboard updates, data refreshes, calculations and reporting requirements
- Work with Data Services to support the tables and data pipelines feeding our media reporting environment
- Troubleshoot discrepancies between advertising platforms, source tables and dashboard outputs
- Validate data quality, completeness and consistency across the reporting workflow
- Ingest new media channels, platforms and datasets into existing reporting solutions
- Translate business and campaign-reporting requirements into scalable dashboard enhancements
- Improve dashboard navigation, usability and visual design to create a clear and intuitive stakeholder experience
- Document data sources, calculations, workflows and troubleshooting processes.
- Communicate data issues, findings and recommended solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to automate processes, strengthen governance and improve the reliability of our reporting ecosystem
You'll have:
- 3-5 years in Digital Marketing
- Tertiary education in Marketing / Business / Commerce / Technology
- Strong hands-on experience developing, maintaining and troubleshooting Tableau dashboards
- Experience working with digital media reporting across paid search, paid social, programmatic video and display
- A sound understanding of digital advertising metrics, data structures and measurement concepts
- Experience diagnosing data discrepancies from source platforms through data pipelines to visualisation
- Working knowledge of data pipelines, data transformation and data warehousing concepts
- Experience with technologies such as Supermetrics, Amazon S3, SQL and Teradata; knowledge of BigQuery would also be advantageous
- Familiarity with advertising platforms such as Google Marketing Platform, Google Ads, Meta and The Trade Desk.
- Experience delivering automated reporting and data-visualisation solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail - The ability to prioritise competing requirements and work effectively across cross-functional teams
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills
A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
