As the Quality and Compliance Manager, you will lead the audit and assurance activities across your assigned portfolio, ensuring operations meet regulatory requirements and deliver safe, consistent, and compliant outcomes. This role has a strong auditor orientation, with accountability for planning, conducting and managing both internal and external audits, as well as engaging with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders. 

You will provide strategic guidance on regulatory changes, partner closely with QGSS, and drive improvements to compliance frameworks. The role includes reviewing SOPs, monitoring and investigating non‑compliance, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. You will also track, assess and report on safety and compliance performance across your portfolio. 

Working closely with operational leaders, you will translate audit findings into practical improvements, embed assurance practices into day‑to‑day operations, and help build audit readiness and compliance capability across the freight network. 

This is an opportunity to influence operational standards at scale and strengthen assurance outcomes across a complex and highly regulated environment. 

You’ll have: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in a quality, compliance, safety or audit role 
  • Lead Auditor qualification is highly desirable 
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting internal and external audits, including engagement with regulators and key stakeholders 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging all levels of management 
  • Demonstrated customer focus and ability to anticipate and meet stakeholder needs 
  • High resilience and adaptability within complex and changing environments 
  • Commitment to monitoring, maintaining and improving safety and compliance performance 
  • Ability to influence, coach and support others to drive compliance and audit readiness
