As a Coordinator – Dangerous Goods Operations Compliance, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe and compliant transport of dangerous goods across the network. In this position, you will assess and make decisions on the carriage of both standard and non-standard items, issue operator approvals, and provide expert technical advice to support operational teams. Working closely with the Principal Adviser Dangerous Goods, you’ll help uphold regulatory standards, strengthen compliance practices, and contribute to the ongoing safety and efficiency of Qantas’ global operations. 

You’ll have:  

  • Desired dangerous goods knowledge or experience in aviation or transport 
  • Knowledge of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations 
  •  Dangerous Goods Acceptance qualified preferable 
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, contributing effectively within a team environment 
  • Proven ability to analyse information, make sound decisions under pressure, and manage competing priorities  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organisational, administrative and customer service capabilities  
  • Desired digital literacy with experience across systems such as AI tools, AQuire, Power BI
