At QIMA, we’re on a mission to help our clients make products consumers can trust.

Working with over 30,000 global brands, retailers, manufacturers and food growers, we are on the ground wherever products are made. We help businesses secure every step of their supply chain with quality inspections, supplier audits, certifications, and lab testing, all powered by our intelligent digital platform.

Our team of 5,000 QIMers (and counting) across 40 offices and laboratories, are united in our shared passion for innovation and integrity, and guided by our QIMA values in the decisions we make every day. We believe in the work we do, and in making a positive difference in the world. Does this sound like something you’d like to be a part of?

Our Consumer Goods Division is dedicated to helping brands, retailers and manufacturers worldwide deliver safe, quality and ethically made products to their consumers. Every day at work, our inspectors, auditors, and lab techs use their expertise to help safeguard the products you use every day in your home: from clothes and footwear to toys and baby products, to electronics, appliances, and furniture.

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on and intellectually curious individual to join QIMA's AI transformation effort. The successful candidate will help identify, scope, design, and deploy AI-powered solutions across QIMA's operations and corporate functions.

Should embrace a startup mindset - short cycles, fast shipping, and a bias for "done" over "perfect" - while being able to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced, global environment.

The candidate will gain hands-on experience working at the intersection of AI, operations, and business transformation. This is an exciting opportunity for students interested in AI, automation, process improvement, and enterprise transformation.

Responsibilities

1. Design and prototype. Design and prototype AI-powered workflows leveraging platforms such as Claude, GPT, Make, Cursor, Power Automate, and no-code/low-code tools.

2. Deploy and iterate. Deploy and iterate on AI solutions in close collaboration with operational team leads, ensuring adoption and measuring results (time saved, errors reduced, process improvements, level of accuracy, speed of execution).

3. Document and communicate. Map target processes, write concise use case briefs (problem, solution, expected gain, effort), and report progress and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

4. Build end-to-end. Own the full cycle from rough prototype to production-ready solution - configure AI agents, connect APIs, set up automations, test with real users, and fix what breaks until the workflow runs reliably.

5. Maintain knowledge base. Help structure and maintain the internal knowledge base that powers AI assistants.

6. Contribute to AI community. Participate in the AI transformation governance and contribute to the internal AI community: document learnings, share tips, present demos.

Qualifications

Experience Level

Final-year students (engineering or business school) looking for an end-of-studies internship (6 months minimum, with potential for permanent position).

Core Qualities

– You love to build things. You've created bots, automations, scripts, or prototypes on your own initiative - not just as coursework.

– You are a pragmatic, creative thinker who learns quickly and identifies solutions when facing problems.

– You're comfortable with trial and error. You'd rather ship a rough v1 in 2 days than plan a perfect v1 for 2 months.

– You can talk to non-technical people. You'll work with operations managers, finance leads, and certification analysts - you need to understand their world and explain yours.

– Strong analytical skills: you can look at a process, identify what's broken or slow, and quantify the opportunity.

– Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and fast-moving environment.

Languages

– Fluent in English (required).

– French is a strong plus

As part of the recruitment process, we will ask you to complete a practical exercise: build a simple AI agent that solves a real business problem we will describe to you.
