As a Senior Manager of Engineering at QAD, you will be responsible for leading multiple agile teams and Engineering Managers, driving execution excellence while shaping technical solutions for enterprise‑scale platforms. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of people, process, and technology. Active use of AI-native development workflows — Cursor, Claude Code, and CodeRabbit or equivalent — is a baseline requirement, not a nice-to-have. We treat AI augmentation as the standard engineering operating model. Leaders are expected to use these tools personally, set norms for their teams, and demonstrate that AI tooling raises the output of their entire squad. Candidates who view AI tools as optional or experimental are not the right fit for this organization. 

The Mission:

What You'll Be Building You will lead teams delivering key capabilities across QAD’s intelligent, adaptive platform, including cloud‑native services, APIs, and AI‑enabled workflows supporting global manufacturing customers. Track Lead for Agentic AI, defining the 'Semantic Moat' that differentiates QAD's manufacturing intelligence platform.

Your Impact/ What you will be doing: 

  • Define Knowledge Graph and Domain Ontology strategies for manufacturing-specific AI reasoning

  • Architect the Agentic Platform: Orchestrator, Reasoning Engine, Agent Runtime, Memory, and LLM Gateway

  • Translate cutting-edge AI research into production-grade engineering deliverables

  • Lead two teams Intelligence/Semantic and Agentic Platform EMs, and Principal Engineers www.qad.com

  • Hire top-tier AI engineers in India — you know where they are and what it takes to attract them

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12+ years in software engineering with at least 5 years leading AI/ML or platform teams
  • Has shipped at least one production LLM or agentic system with real SLOs — not a prototype
  • Deep familiarity with agentic frameworks: LangGraph, AutoGen, or equivalent
  • Experience managing P6-level AI engineers — technically credible, not just a delivery manager
  • Manufacturing or ERP domain knowledge
  • Experience building RAG pipelines with domain-specific ontologies at scale
