We are looking for a RDK Software Engineer (C, C++, Linux) III to join our growing team. In this role, you will be working with Cross-Team component owners to help drive deliverables related to the client's video platforms. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with C, C++, Linux, and RDK. If you enjoy delivering complex software solutions, this position could be a great fit for you!

This position is a hybrid position with 4 days on-site and 1 day remote and will be a W-2 hourly 9-12-month contract with possible extension. 

The hourly rate is $ 58/hr. – $ 62/hr. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance, professional development, trainings, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Cross-Team component owners to facilitate the timely delivery of key objectives.
• Contribute to the entire end-to-end delivery process, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow.
• Take charge of the development responsibilities for team-owned components, ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Lead system integration efforts to enhance overall product functionality and cohesion.
• Efficiently triage and address bug fixes to maintain the integrity and reliability of the system.
• Engage collaboratively with QA, Release Management, and other product teams as needed to streamline processes and achieve collective goals.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering. 
• Experience providing RDK software solutions.
• Experience with C and/or C++ programming languages. 
• Strong system level experience with Linux. 
• Experience with Audio and Video decoding is highly desired. 
• Experience with gStreamer framework and its internals is a plus.
