pureIntegration, a technology consulting firm with 19 years of experience servicing fortune 100 clients, is looking for a Spectrum Guide Video Systems Engineer to assist with supporting configuring video services and devices in a production system.

Location: Remote 

Work Authorization: EAD, GC, US Citizens.  We Do Not Accept H1B Visas.  We Do Not accept C2C relationships   

The ideal candidate will have a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the entire video ecosystem for both Spectrum Guide in both the DAC and EC environments, proven success designing and integrating significant changes to production systems without causing an impact on existing operations, and the ability to think critically about the challenges and solutions being proposed. Additionally, the candidate will have an excellent understanding of video distribution architecture and the devices that create the systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the below duties:

• Analyze current video infrastructure and source information to design new/remove existing sources, EIA assignments, encryption status, segments, and packaging on video system controllers (DAC and EC).
• Research and design a plan for the addition or removal of new and existing video sources to and from the Spectrum Guide.  Using the information gathered and analyzed, perform the changes as planned and documented in MOPS created.
• Analyze, modify, and deploy channel map changes.  Verify SDV vs. Linear status, video format, and all other pertinent properties required to move to new video sources.
• Identify that desired changes have taken place by verifying channels using TMC rack and Radiant systems, or other client provided tool sets, as appropriate.
• Creation and documentation of all project work and progress on internal tracking and ticketing systems (JIRA, BMC Remedy)
• Monitor system and device health and bandwidth load balance based on and related to established guidelines from the user or system design specifications.

• Must have 3-5 years experience working with Video Systems as defined.
• Must have experience with Linux/Unix.
• Experience with Databases is a Must.
• Must have experience with Cisco EC, CommScope DAC, System Design, & System Optimization efforts.
• Must have experience with Set Tops, Applications, & 2-way interactivity
• Must have deep knowledge and understanding of video transport methodologies and design
• Must have experience working in a large production environment
• Experience with ticketing systems (Remedy, Service Now, Jira)
• Demonstrated ability to complete a project on time
