The transformation you will experience
The beauty of this role lies in the opportunity to truly own your work and make your mark on one of Starcom’s largest clients – a portfolio made up of some of Australia’s most loved consumer products and a client with a strong appetite for innovative executions and impactful media.
As the Account Manager, you will craft media plans and recommendations with a full-funnel and integrated approach; then mobilise and lean into craft teams to deliver best-in-class work across implementation and reporting.
You’ll have the platform to foster and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as their trusted partner and key point of contact. Within the agency, you are the lynchpin of cross functional teams and will be expected to drive a culture of connection and collaboration. Working alongside the Business Director, you will also have the opportunity to build on your people management skills and support the development of an Account Executive and Coordinator.
Your day to day will look like:
- Efficiently handle the daily requirements of client stakeholders
- Prepare implementation planning responses, ensuring the plans reflect the client’s business needs and media environment which maximise return on investment
- Engage in media planning activities across all channels, contributing to comprehensive and effective strategies
- Collaborate closely with the Investment, Digital and Performance leads to ensure smooth workflow coordination within the team
- Oversee the financial management including invoicing and payments process in line with contractual terms agreed
- Guide client WIP sessions and meetings, demonstrating leadership in communication and project management
- Promote the agency’s specialist services and research initiatives
- Ensure that clients are informed on general media industry topics which may affect their business
- Anticipate client needs, building long term relationships – proactively drive the relationship with clients

What type of person will be successful in this role
- 3-4 years’ experience from a media agency, advertising, publishing background, or similar
- All-rounder media planning skills with a strong understanding of offline and digital media channels
- Able to work collaboratively with cross functional teams (Strategy, Investment, Digital, Performance)
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of the financial process
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Able to upskill and mentor junior members of the team
- Able to multi-task and manage multiple and shifting priorities
- Possesses a curious nature with a willingness for continuous learning and fearless growth
