Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Copywriter to join our national award-winning creative team based in Sydney. In this role you would partner with a talented and award-winning Senior Art Director working across some of Leo’s biggest and most creatively ambitious clients while having the opportunity to make some of the finest work of your career.  

You’ll be part of a growing team in an agency filled with smart, kind people who are passionate about the work and genuinely care about each other. This hybrid role is part-time / full-time negotiable.

Day-to-day in this role, you’ll get to: 

  • Partner and collaborate with a talented Senior Art Director and wider creative team to conceptualise award winning ideas and copy that deliver exceptional results for our clients. 
  • Ideate creative concepts that push boundaries across integrated brand platforms 
  • Interpret creative briefs from our creative, strategy and client services teams. 
  • Attend client meetings to articulate and sell ideas (both yours and your teams) that our clients will love and that demonstrate our reinventive thinking. 
  • Attend shoots and sound sessions to ensure the level of craft is upheld to the finest level. 
  • Be a mentor to other members of the team by supporting and providing constructive feedback to unlock their full creative potential. 

Qualifications

The person we’re looking for has/is: 

  • Prior relevant experience (5+ years) in a creative advertising agency or equivalent. 
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates your strong writing capabilities and ability to write to different brand tones and audiences 
  • An excellent conceptual thinker with proven aptitude to come up with ideas for integrated brand platforms across non-traditional, social, digital and TV channels.  
  • A passion for creativity and flair for writing effective and innovative copy. 
  • Exceptional communication experience, you enjoy partnering with your team and winning over clients with your brilliant ideas. 
  • Agile, flexible, self-motivated, collaborative, sense of calm - these are all traits that come naturally to you. 
  • You enjoy staying on top of cultural and social trends and new technologies. 
  • You have already tasted some awards success and have the appetite to win a lot more.
