Job Description
The Sales Representative (SR) is responsible for selling products and services in a designated area and is accountable for the profitable achievement of sales targets as agreed with company. The SR is responsible for their own sales conversion productivity, and directs their effort in order to have the greatest overall impact on results.
It is vital for the SR to possess good knowledge of standard sales methods & techniques relevant to client’s product. This person will report to the Sales Manager.
As the position is for sales driven individuals, the SR is responsible for achieving sales targets for themselves in order to increase their earning potential through commissions
Additional activities will include involvement in pre-awareness campaigns to new customers; ensuring that customers are made aware of features, benefits, competitive advantages and applications of the relevant products.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Responsibilities of this position are to achieve sales targets. The Field Sales Representative will achieve this through field activities such as door to door, field activations, social media and acquiring referrals. It will be vital for the Field Sales Representative to poses good knowledge of standard sales methods & techniques relevant to client’s product line.
Salary : Commission Based
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Matric
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Minimum of 1 year sales experience in field sales preferably telecommunication sales
- Minimum of 1 year’s target driven sales experience
- Must have own Smartphone that is in good working condition
- Evidence of experience working independently, with little or no supervision

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

KPA-SALES TARGETS
- Ensuring performance against allocated targets
- Required execution in line with requirements to ensure that sales are driven.
- Identify opportunities to maximise sales
- Ensure sales orders are completed in accordance to requirements
- Ability to plan daily and weekly field sales activities independently and with manager
- Ability to manage and build relationships with prospective and existing clients in order to generate referral business
- Ability to travel within the region to source new prospective leads and close sales
- Conducting door to door and promotional activities to offer company’s product and services
KPA- OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
- Conduct daily task check ins using platforms provided to record field activities
- Maintain a relationship with the client to ensure customer service standards are met
- Up to date training and knowledge of all products and service offerings, competitor information and new product updates to the customer
- Ensuring appropriate sales journey which constitutes SR to sign up a client in accordance to the application form and correctly following POPIA compliance
- Excellent geographical knowledge of the respective region
- Initiates field sales diary planning with the regional manager to ensure correct coverage in order to maximise sales opportunities
- Identify larger avenues to address consumers (Complexes, Estates, New developments) and acting on the SR to close sales
- Actively Seeks fibre areas and actively works to incorporate these areas into diary planning
KPA- PROCESSES
- Ensure that you submit and/or capturing accurate customer applications that are complete in detail and documentation. Incomplete applications cannot be submitted for processing.
- Conducting their sales journey in accordance with POPIA
- Filling in the application forms correctly
- Submitting application form and supporting documents for vetting purposes

- Wearing uniform and appropriately representing the brand
- Keeping abreast of client queries and escalations to your line manager

- Actively Seeks future fibre enabled areas and actively works to incorporate these areas into diary planning

- Full compliance with the compliance process and POPIA legislation when dealing with customer information
- Accountability for individual assets – informing management of any theft / damage immediately in writing
- SR to report daily using platforms supplied on field activities

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work hours outside of the normal Mon – Sat 08h00 – 17h00 – Weekend work will be considered as normal working hours
- When using own vehicle for business travel, kindly ensure that the vehicle is fit for purpose by ensuring that the vehicle’s service book and license disc is up to date and conduct a vehicle inspection before commencing with a work-related journey.

- When using a vehicle for business travel, please ensure that you are competent to perform the task and have a valid driver’s license for the vehicle you are driving.
