Zenith Global are the central team, primarily based in London, supporting our local Zenith markets, leading new business efforts, developing thought-leadership, and driving network development for our 250 offices across 95 countries with over 8,000 staff worldwide.

Job Description

As Global Business Director, you will join the Edrington account and work across their portfolio of brands, specifically The Macallan, Highland Park, The Famous Grouse and The Glenrothes You will report directly to the Global Client Lead.

You are expected to lead the team ensuring we meet the current client needs as well as work with them to transform the team and product as the client needs evolve.

You will lead a dedicated team based in London. You are also expected to work with the Zenith network and have ongoing engagement with key markets (US, Canada, Spain, Mexico, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan).  

You will have to build close relationships with the clients and become first point of contact to the key client brand leads. You will also be engaged with external partners and colleagues across various disciplines within Publicis Media and Publicis Groupe.

The Global Business Director’s role will be responsible, but not limited to the following:

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the team, ensuring the Global team delivers on the evolving client need – including but not limited to scope of work, team recruitment and development, delivering a profitable account
  • Has responsibility for quality of work, process, relationship, and consistency in global media approach across Zenith Network
  • Ensuring the client account team is well supported and delivering on the client needs
  • Ensuring the team is focused on building for the future
  • Industry & Professional unique POV’s identification and oversight of the development and deployment
  • Key vendors meeting facilitation and leadership

Qualifications

Key requirements:

  • We are looking for a brilliant digital driven marketer who can tell compelling stories through data and gain buy-in across a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • A strategic and big-picture thinker, grounded in digital, analytics and optimisation, able to uncover strategic insights that can help create, shape and transform overall client (digital) strategic direction through a media strategy and communications plan.
  • Natural curiosity and desire to help clients achieve goals
  • Commercial, naturally driven and high energy to constantly rise to the challenge – accustomed to delivering commercial outcomes for the agencies
  • Have managed budgets across an international scope
  • You will be confident in presenting both internally and externally
  • Experience briefing a team of specialists and the ability to bridge planning and specialist execution.

You will be:

  • Knowledgeable in all media channels, with ideal experience within a media agency working ideally on both local and global sides of the business.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise, with exceptional organisational skills, even when under pressure.
  • Able to both lead some work streams as well as take direction as part of a team.
  • A confident and adaptable communicator.
  • Solutions-oriented.
  • Driven, ambitious and proactive about your own career development.
  • Able to understand how individual work streams contribute to the business and be able to challenge the brief couple of levels up (Why? What does it mean for the business?) to get to the point of certain client asks
  • Able to identify when to escalate potential issues before they become a problem.

  • Positive and well-informed, able to think quickly on your feet!

Skills required:

  • Strong written and oral skills- able to come across clearly and succinctly in email or over the phone
  • Strong analytical skills and able to understand and interpret data; to identify trends, opportunities and make strategic arguments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to quickly spot mistakes and inconsistencies in data.
  • Strong team leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in media and specifically global network management, is valued, though not essential.
