Job Description

Overview
We don’t all look the same, and we don’t expect you to, either.  But successful members of the Analytics team at Publicis Imagine generally have a passion for emerging tech and media, bring a data-driven approach to decision-making, have a fresh perspective and share it in a positive way, don’t shy away from a challenge, and are always hungry to learn more. We look for prior experience in media analytics, especially digital media. We hope you’re a numbers whiz and know how to bring data to life through a compelling story. You should already be used to representing your team to external clients, since Associate Directors are often the face of our brand.

Role Objectives
Working closely with both the Business Planning and Activation teams, the Associate Director, Analytics will contribute to the design of the data strategy to tie our clients’ marketing to real-world business goals. They also contribute crucial intellectual capital by executing measurement plans based on their client’s business needs, using data to tell great stories. Associate Directors also work closely with their VP to build an Analytics strategy and execute on that plan in accordance with their team. As such, Associate Directors are mentors, managers, project managers, and thought leaders, all at the same time.  This role reports directly into the VP, Analytics.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

•         B.A. or B.S., preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Marketing/Advertising or related field.  MBA or advanced degree a plus.

•         5-7+ years of work experience in media, analytics, or related field

•         3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.

•         Agency experience preferred

•         Knowledge of Digital Media, Marketing/Advertising industries highly preferred

•         Ability to communicate complex ideas to clients as well as internal stakeholders, and ability and comfort with presenting to senior leadership

•         Understanding of a broad range of online advertising media channels such as Search, Programmatic, Email, Contextual, and Social, as well as subject matter expertise in at least one of these areas

•         World-class customer service skills. Ability to service clients, partners, and internal stakeholders by understanding their needs, translating those needs into creative solutions, and delivering on those solutions with diligence and a sense of urgency.

•         Able to take a consultative approach to offering guidance across many areas of client business, including targeting, budget allocation, optimization and effectiveness measurement.

•         Partner with activation teams to provide comprehensive analyses that will inform future media decisions on budgets, partners, strategies, and vendors

•         Executing measurement plans (KPIs across funnel/media channels that creates overall storytelling around campaign success)

•         Experience with executing test and learn processes

•         Responsive to ad-hoc requests, using all available resources to provide clear and meaningful insights and recommendations

•         Extensive experience with Ad Servers such as DoubleClick, and website analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics

•         Experience with other digital media and analytics tools such as measurement vendors, data visualization tools, and BI applications

•         Experience with third party research partners such as GfK, Nielsen, Comscore, MRI, and GWI

•         Familiarity and experience utilizing social media metrics

•         Advanced Excel skills (ability to work with macros, advanced formulas, pivot tables) and experience working with large data sets.

•         Knowledgeable and passionate about consumer behavior, media and technology trends, and the future of media, plus experience and interest in relevant client categories

•         Must be able to effectively work collaboratively with a team as well as independently

Preferred

•         Experience with two or more of the following advanced analytics methods:  descriptive statistics, linear regression, multi-touch attribution modeling, MMM, incrementality testing, cross-device measurement

•         Experience and understanding with various cloud computing environments: AWS, Azure, GCP

•         Experience with ad verification tools such as IAS & Moat

•         Experience with using or analyzing audience and media data from DMPs and DSPs
