Breakout Room is a creative content agency delivering content strategy and production for clients across New Zealand.  We are the content division of McCready Bale Media (MBM) with offices in Auckland and Wellington.

This role is full time and will be based in the MBM Wellington office.  As a Senior Content Proudcer you will report to Breakout Room’s Head of Content in Auckland.

Fresh thinking, collaboration and project management is key to success in this role. 

Working closely with the Auckland-based Breakout Room team, the MBM Creative Account Manager, MBM Media team, as well as the Creative Team at John Plimmer & Friends, and of course our clients.

You will have great production skills, be comfortable managing the client (even when it requires tricky conversations), working with a creative team, and seeing through execution of everything from high quality product and social shoots, to activations, influencer activity, and more.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Help concept content ideas
  • Write client-facing presentations and develop detailed production plans
  • Liaise with all team members and clients on concepts, feedback and approvals
  • Brief internal and external suppliers
  • Production and Budget oversight, including delivery of content on time and on budget.

You will have one direct report, the Production Assistant, also based in Wellington.  The two of you will bring to life the Breakout Room culture at the MBM Wellington office.  Making sure quality work is delivered on time as a team, with creative flair and fun.  

Qualifications

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE:

A strategic + creative mind -  Your thirst for new ideas should drive you.  You don’t deliver the same-old-same-old.  You have the ability to think outside the square and concept both briefed and proactive ideas that are on brand for the client.

Detailed and service focused – you seek to understand your clients business in order to deliver smart ideas.  You are an experienced producer who can efficiently manage shoots, from pre to post production and help bring together the right crew of internal or external creators to see the ideas come to life.

A Collaborator – this role requires a new way of thinking.  Bringing together media, creative, and content agencies in an open conversation with the client at the heart.  You must be willing to have open discussion, a positive and fun outlook, and ready to face new challenges while striving for perfection.

Marketing Communications experience - you will be a confident presenter who can sell-in the creative ideas to client and other stakeholders.  You will have a proven track record in creative industries, including high quality project management experience, and a strong understanding of marketing communications.
