Leadership
· Involvement in strategy development and implementation for the growth of the agency
· Source of leadership to junior staff in your portfolio
· Identify and motivate new ways of working, both creatively and operationally
· Involvement in operational issues within MSL
· Demonstrate ability to effectively manage a diverse and dynamic of digital and social content writers
· Thrive in a team-base culture
· Train and mentor digital and social media team members
· Accurately debrief team and manage outputs
· Strong ability to relay instruction and manage outputs remotely as well as effectively of team members
Skills
· Develop, with Director, strategic and tactical client programmes
· Assist with creation, conception, and presentation of integrated communications campaigns
· Interpret the direction of strategy / planning and creative leads
· Monitoring the media (social and traditional) and demonstrate ability to identify topical issues relevant to clients on a consistent basis
· Identify angles to position clients on and motivate these to clients
· Demonstrate an ability to apply communications techniques beyond media relations in response to client briefs, including viral and web PR techniques
· Demonstrate ability to write persuasively, creatively pitch stories and identify / develop story opportunities
· Lead journalist relationship-building initiatives within the team across various media sectors
· Identify and build relationships at multiple levels within clients
· Build high-level knowledge of client’s market sector
· Show excellent communication skills: express ideas and articulate concepts, recommendations, etc. in client or team meetings
· Demonstrate a self-starter approach
· Demonstrate innovation and creativity
· Identify trend topics / events related to clients and suggest ways to participate
· Utilise social listening tools to generate insights and suggest new ideas and tactics
· Have knowledge of the various social media channels used by clients, generate content for these platforms, manage them according to client guidelines and nurture relationships with influencers
· Respond to comments, when appropriate, in order to foster a positive community and add value to the user’s experience
· Enforce the social media guidelines as defined by the client’s brand
· Manage events including preparation timelines
· Attending events to Tweet live to drive engagement and encourage participation. Provide media relations support for clients during events
Digital & Social Media
· Very strong understanding of social media as whole including development of social content for all main platforms
· A deep understanding of social media dynamics including effective influencer engagement, live tweeting & posting from events, community management as well content schedule creation, management and deployment
· Effective use of each platform and delivery of appropriate content for each
· Always abreast of social and digital trends to ensure effective approaches to developing content and management of the platforms
· A clear understanding of the social media landscape
· Eager to innovate and try new approaches to improve social media performance across all brands
· Clear understanding of the role of SEO within the digital space
Client Service and Account Management
· Strong client-facing skills with ability to present and up sell to client
· Regular status and update meetings with clients around work executed or to be briefed in
· Strong ability to upsell and see new opportunities to evolve and increase offerings to clients. This would entail campaign ideas, influencer outreach ideas, community growth ideas & any other communication marketing ideas
· Very strong organisational and heavy workload skills
· Intercept and deliver all client instructions & deliverables accurately and effectively to team and vice-versa
· Ability to generate as well interpret performance reports for clients
· Demonstrate effective listening and interpretation of client instructions in meetings to debrief team

- Well-versed in digital content best-practice and strategy, from mainstream social media channels and websites to digital magazines, WhatsApp and more.
- Strong journalistic network of content writers, creators and producers for commissioning work.
- Be fundamentally passionate about the power of content and content marketing, be excited by delivering great work to clients, and be willing to go above and beyond, outside of the 9-to-5.
- Creatively-minded and able to assist with creative direction on shoots.
