Job Description

The Staff Accountant is a key member of the Client Finance team performing various client account reporting, month end close duties, FMC/Audit request, contract/SOW reviews for accounting treatment, and assist in the agency revenue forecast process.

 

Responsibilities

  • Client Teams Support

    • Work directly with Project Management and Client Management on a daily basis to provide support in managing all financial aspects of Moxie and MRY client portfolios.

    • Assist with preparation and presentation of monthly client business reviews

    • Provide Project Management with financial information requested as needed for client meetings.

  • Revenue Recognition and Month End Close

    • Analyze executed contracts for new clients and projects to determine measurable deliverables and assign values for revenue forecast and recognition

    • Review Job requests from Project Management for approvals and assist with review of contracts for accounting treatment

    • Review General Ledger and prepare journal entries at month end

  • Revenue Forecast

    • Review monthly forecast for accuracy and work with client teams to maintain variance commentary

    • Prepares forecast reporting for high-level reviews with business leads

    • Assist with quarterly forecast system submissions to parent company in Paris using Hyperion Financial Management web tool

  • Client Billing

    • Lead client billing meetings and work with billing analyst to review client activity for billable amounts

    • Review of approved job estimates in the system

    • Works closely with client teams to resolve billing discrepancies and to limit monthly accruals

  • Budget Management

    • Manage Client Non-Billable budget through monthly forecast and reporting to client leads

  • FMC/Internal Audit

    • Assist management team with preparing documentation and support in preparation of annual FMC audits

Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)

  • Experience with SAP preferred
