Job Description

Position Purpose

  • Project manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement projects
  • Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define tasks and required resources
  • Assist in estimating level of effort
  • Collect and manage project team
  • Manage budget by tracking burn
  • Allocate project resources
  • Create schedule and project timeline
  • Track deliverables
  • Support and direct team
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Evaluate and assess result of project
  • Identify areas for improvement within process; suggest/implement solutions
  • Anticipates/identifies risks and seeks partnership, if needed, to mitigate any issues
  • Sets clear expectations for tasks and deliverables across teams accountable for work
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two to five years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work cross disciplinary across all of the functional departments
  • Ability to adapt to several different team structures / types of work

  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in conjunction with work flow steps and internal processes
  • Initiative and personal responsibility for work

Reporting and Succession

  • Typically reports to Senior Project Manager or Program Director
